Overview

Marist Telecom has completed an upgrade/enhancement to the system such that Jabber may be used without VPN loaded on your laptop. Also, as result of these enhancements, the same extension(s) will appear on Jabber as appears on your campus phone. We have provided new Jabber profiles for each of you with the following login instructions;

Login

• See original login screen

• Enter your full email as your Username: first.last@marist.edu
• Click ACCEPT if challenged for Certificate error

• Next, Enter EMAIL password (AKA Marist Password) – this may be combination of letters and digits, but use the same as you would to open Outlook

• When Jabber opens, make sure the small “red” icon at the bottom is Green!  Click on the ICON and select “Use My Computer” for audio. 

• Once that is set, your extension will show, similar to below:

• Click on the drop arrow to see other lines associated with your phone
